Maple Chipotle Candied Walnuts Recipe

2 cups raw Walnuts

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 cup Maple Sugar, finely ground

3 to 4 cups Water

1/2 tsp Chipotle Powder

1 1/2 tsp Sea Salt


1In a medium bowl, soak the walnuts for 3 to 4 hours to soften

2Strain, reserving the walnuts and discarding the liquid

3Place walnuts in a mixing bowl with the remaining ingredients and toss well

4Spread an even layer of walnuts on dehydrator trays, leaving room for air circulation

5Dry the candied walnuts at 115 degrees F for 7 to 10 hours or until crisp in your Excalibur Dehydrator

6Store walnuts in a sealed container and refrigerate to maintain crispness
