Dad’s Turkey Jerky


Dad's Turkey Jerky Recipe

  • Prep: 7 hrs
  • Dehydrate: 6 hrs


1/2 cup Soy Sauce

2 tsp fresh grated Ginger

1 tbsp Liquid Smoke

4 tbsp Brown Sugar

1 clove Garlic, minced

2 pounds cooked Turkey, slice paper thin


1Thinly slice leftover turkey. Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger. garlic and liquid smoke in a bowl

2Dip turkey slices into marinade

3Place dipped meat in layers on a baking sheet and pour remaining marinade over turkey slices

4Cover tightly and let marinate in refrigerator for 6 to 12 hours. Rotate layers of meat occasionally while it marinates.

5Dehydrate in a Excalibur Dehydrator at 155 degrees F for 6-12 hours or until dry

6While meat is drying, blot excess oil with a paper towel
