Western BBQ Jerky Recipe

  • Prep: 5 hrs
  • Dehydrate: 5 hrs


1 pound Lean Meat

3 tbsp Brown Sugar

1/3 cup Red Wine Vinegar

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Dry Mustard

1 tsp Salt

1/4 tsp Pepper

1/3 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder


1Mix all ingredients except meat in a shallow dish or bowl

2Stir well

3Cut meat into 1/4 inch thick pieces

4Place meat in marinade making sure meat is covered

5Cover and refrigerate overnight

6Place meat on an Excalibur Paraflexx lined dehydrator tray

7Dehydrate at 155 degree F for 6 hours until dry
